Burnt during welding
One issue that should not be underestimated is burns during welding.
Many people underestimate this and say I can do the stapler quickly without a sweater. The little bit of weld seam, nothing will happen. This is a fallacy and is not a good idea for the Skin definitely very unhealthy.
That’s why I always recommend it, welds with long clothes. Definitely with a sweater. But even here there is an important hint. Do not wear reflective clothing. All you need is a light gray sweater and you can burn your neck under your welding helmet.
I have even had this experience myself. It took me a while to figure out that it was the sweater.
Of course, other objects in the environment that can reflect must also be taken into account. You should apply sunscreen to bare skin areas, e.g. the neck (tip from your dermatologist).
UV radiation is more dangerous than you think and definitely damages the skin and can later lead to skin cancer.
So think about your health and protect yourself from burns when welding.
I’ve also always got used to wearing my welding gloves: you weld something, the object gets hotter and hotter, you take off your gloves and want to put the object away. Here, too, you can burn your hands.
Important protect yourself NOW simply & cheaply from welding fumes!
So always wear gloves, preferably with a long shaft. The leather of the glove protects you when you are welding your glove. arm. That was also a separate My experience of welding with short gloves.
Here is a link to some really cool sweat gloves that I also use every day. They are really great value for money and last a really long time. I have a great feeling when working with the gloves.
Don’t forget, UV radiation is harmful to your eyes! So what should you do if you have flashed your eyes? Here is a link to an existing blog post.
