We made a sheet that fitted in exactly, then welded it on both sides and for stability and safety reasons we always try to leave the weld seam as intact as possible.

A great deal is possible in this area, especially when we talk about sustainability, of course, there are not many new parts. In most cases, they are then also from other vehicles and so it remains technically the same from the same vehicle in any case. In the classic car sector, it is always the case that new parts are not always readily available around the corner.
