Welding in the rain / welding in wet conditions
Greetings welding fans,
Welding in the rain / welding in wet conditions
Yes, there are limits to welding too, and welding in the rain is definitely one of them.
We have various welding processes to choose from and I’d say the best all rounder in all weathers is electron welding. Yes, we have also welded in wet or rainy conditions, but of course it is not the best condition for welding, because the water gets into the weld pool and causes pores, which does not give the best hold for the weld seam.
The other welding processes, such as TIG or MAG, do not even need to be tried here. It’s not going to be anything, or extremely bad.
I would avoid welding in the rain, either build a shelter so that the whole thing is dry or really wait for another day.
Important protect yourself NOW simply & cheaply from welding fumes!
