“Tradespeople entering the industry is undoubtedly a relevant topic. Many people are now showing an interest in entering the trade, especially in view of its increasing presence. Now is the perfect time to get to grips with it and get into the craft. I can speak from my own experience, as I am a career changer myself.

I originally trained in a different profession, but today I run my own welding company and have been self-employed for twelve years.

It is definitely possible to gain a foothold in the skilled trades as a career changer, as there is a considerable demand for skilled workers. Both young people and people of all genders are very interested in entering the skilled trades. If you are interested in the topic, you should definitely push ahead with it.

Look for a field that fascinates you, educate yourself privately, use platforms such as YouTube and explore opportunities for further training, including through the employment office.

It has never been easier to change careers, as the shortage of skilled workers in the skilled trades is enormous. It is an advantage if you have already dealt with the subject as a hobby and have some previous knowledge.

The key to success, regardless of the industry, is to always enjoy what you do. Enthusiasm and drive are crucial and enable rapid learning, the gaining of experience and a successful career in the skilled trades.

Take care of your further training, be motivated, keep yourself informed and you will be able to gain a foothold in the trade. There are plenty of opportunities, so step on the gas and pursue your career goals with passion.”
