Fresh air welding helmet from Böhler Welding
Greetings from Schweißfan
Fresh air welding helmet from Böhler Welding too expensive or does such a part make sense?
I’ve been welding with this fresh air welding helmet from Böhler Welding for a good four weeks now and to be honest, at first I thought it wasn’t so cool because the belt and the hose could get in the way. My thought is that you probably have too much on your body that bothers and annoys you. However, after only 1-2 days I realized that you get used to it extremely quickly and it no longer bothers you at all and the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
I also found the function of the helmet, that I only have to fold it up a little and can then use a grinding function at the same time and my face is protected from the grinding dust and sparks, extremely cool.
This means that you wear a helmet all the time but are always protected in the best possible way. A small side effect is that when it’s warm, the ventilation also cools your face. I didn’t have that on my radar before.
All in all, I have to say it’s a really cool piece. Our health will thank us for it and you simply notice in the evening that you feel much better physically.
The only thing that is a little more difficult is communication when you are working with someone. You have to speak a little louder so that the other person understands you and vice versa, but I don’t think that should be a reason not to use a helmet like this.
My battery also lasted an extremely long time. Of course, it depends on how long you weld for in a day, but I found that I welded for 2 to 3 hours a day for a very long time.
Before the battery runs out, this is also clearly indicated by the belt vibrating and emitting a signal. So you really can’t ignore that or not notice it.
At the beginning I struggled with the best way to take off the Böhler Welding fresh air welding helmet with belt. But then I came up with a very simple idea: I just sit down in my welding chair, which is right next to my welding machine. I take off my belt, which then remains virtually in the chair, take off my helmet and place it on my welding machine. That is currently the easiest thing for me. Of course, you can also simply place it on a table. This is no problem at all and works wonderfully or of course in the bag supplied. Depending on where you work or what the conditions are like, you can easily put the helmet in the original bag.
