How good is the Weldinger MEW 202 syn Puls Pro?

 

 

I’ve been testing the Weldinger, MEW 202, for about six months now, or rather we’ve had it in our workshop for that long and work with it almost every day, and I’d just like to give you an experience report on the welding machine.

 

 

The cool thing is that for some years now there have been very good welding machines in the small price segment with which you can achieve good welding results. Of course, you can also work very well with the devices in a normal workshop.

 

For example, we have been working with Weldinger for almost four years now and have also seen the positive development of the devices and we are always being asked what can be improved on the devices.

 

As a result, there are now very, very good welding machines on the market from Weldinger and it is extremely enjoyable to work with the machines for the price-performance ratio.

 

 

We have allowed ourselves the luxury of having a welding machine for every welding process in the MIG / MAG area, so that we don’t have to change the wire or the torch every day. That’s why, for example, we have the first MEW 202 and now the successor with the pulse function in our workshop.

 

With the normal MEW 202 we mainly weld thin sheet metal, i.e. we have a 0.6 mm wire in the device and use it to work on our tanks or other thin sheet metal parts.

 

 

Of course, we also need a device that we can use to weld aluminium, because we specialize in aluminium and we weld it every day. With the pulse and double pulse function, you have a very nice setting, with which you can of course also weld visually cool weld seams.

 

 

In other words, we mainly weld aluminum with the device, whether with or without pulse, the device welds very, very well. The only thing that needs to be retrofitted here is the Teflon core.

 

 

 

The wire feed roll for aluminum is already included in the scope of delivery and you already have a large, good MB 24 torch original with you. Of course, if the burners are gas-cooled, it can also be an MB 36 burner thanks to the Euro central connection. A very simple thing you can easily retrofit. The burner naturally absorbs more heat and can also cool down better.

 

So all in all, I can say that this is an absolutely great welding machine that can be used in many ways and does a great job in the MiG/MAG areas.
