We help you to avoid these mistakes when welding
Error no. 1
The tig burner position and the position of the hosepack.
There is a lot that can be done better or more easily here.
e.g. place the TIG torch in your hand like a ballpoint pen. Is much easier to handle in many areas.
Always try to put the tube package down somehow and not have the additional weight on your arm or hand.
Here, for example, the welding table goes with the welding machine. You can simply place it on your lap when sitting and over your shoulder when standing. This simplifies a lot and ensures a much better welding result.

Error no.2
Shielding gas quantity or forget to turn on.
I’m sure this has happened to everyone at some point and you have forgotten to turn the gas on before welding.
Here I have a small tip, but a recurring process. In other words, always switch on the welding machine straight away, turn on the gas, put on your face mask, gloves and helmet. Like this and do it over and over again, like a system that is always the same, so you minimize the risk of forgetting it.

Error no.3
Wrong choice of wignadel
I use a different tungsten electrode for aluminum welding than for stainless steel/steel welding.
For aluminum welding I use the green tungsten electrodes and I don’t grind them for welding because I find that the spherical cap forms best then!
For stainless steel/steel welding I use the golden tungsten electrodes and I grind them at 45 degrees with the grinding always towards the tip for an optimum arc.
Error no.4
Ground cable not attached correctly.
With the earth cable, it is always important that it is as close as possible to the welding part, for example if you have a steel welding table or, even better, have the earth directly on the welding part.
Here, however, it is always important that the connection is optimal. In other words, there is no dirt or paint in between.
A little tip, if you have no way of attaching the ground, I always use gripper pliers because the beak is much smaller and I can simply screw in a screw on motors, for example, and then clamp the ground to it
Error no.5
Insufficient or no cleaning of the welded part.
For me, one of the most important things is to clean the welding part before and during welding.
Actually, you don’t need much for this, just a cloth and acetone. A stainless steel wire brush for coarse dirt
