Can you get a blow when welding
Hey welding fans, hello,
Can you get a shock when welding
Can you get a blow when welding?
So if your buddy is there and taps you on the shoulder, you’ll get a punch of little fun. So, yes, this can possibly happen, but only if the dimensions are not properly connected to the workpiece or if there are no dimensions at all, then the spark is ignited and it can hurt for a short time.
However, you notice this relatively quickly and good welding equipment doesn’t really ignite.
In short, nothing can happen. It is briefly unpleasant but not bad, and cannot be compared with an electric shock from 230 V. So always make sure that the dimensions are properly attached to the part you want to weld.
Or is attached at all, it is usually the case that you simply completely forget to connect the ground. I have another really cool tool that I’ll attach as a link, which you can use if you don’t have a correct measurement point on your part.
Another tip is to always make sure that there is no paint, dirt or, for example, an oxide layer where you are applying the compound. Then of course you have the problem that the dimensions are not properly clamped and you always have to make sure that it is in a bare spot so that there is contact.
Important protect yourself NOW simply & cheaply from welding fumes!
