Do you prefer gluing or welding magnesium?

So for my part, I can claim or say that I don’t think gluing is that cool. I have now known for ten years that parts that I have tried welding did not hold. As a result, I have of course built up experience that gluing works and holds in very few cases. The logical conclusion is, of course, to weld the whole thing because the base material is properly joined together again.

For this reason, and because you can of course restore the original look much better, I would always prefer and recommend welding. But that doesn’t mean I want to say that gluing is inherently bad. In certain areas, such as radiator network repairs, this is okay. But wherever you can weld, it is best to weld.
