What do you need as initial equipment for welding?

 

Greetings, we want to work through a topic again that is for welders or those who are still at the beginning or want to start welding.

So what do you really need for welding, do you really have to spend 1000 or more euros?

 

 

So first and foremost, of course, the welding machine is important here you should first decide for yourself what you really want to do. And then decide which welding equipment suits you best and what you would like to do.

In addition to the welding machine, we also need a pressure reducer for the gas cylinder and, of course, the gas for the appropriate welding process. Now you can start welding in any case.

 

 

Now we could talk about what other accessories you need for the welding machine, for example. So torch accessories and if it is a TIG welding machine, for example, also TIG needles and filler material.

Next up the protective equipment, of course. In other words, a welding helmet, welding gloves and a face mask. Of course, it also depends on the welding process, for example with electrode or MAG welding you need a little more protective equipment.

 

 

Next, there are a few things like grip pliers, acetone for cleaning chocks, a vice and, of course, wire brushes.

 

 

Now, of course, it also depends on what you really need and what you want to do. This can, of course, go on forever, but with a normal simple private workshop equipment, you actually already have a lot of things at home.
