Welder too little power
Greetings sweat fan,
Welder too little power
Of course, it is also possible that a welding machine has too little power for the component to be welded.
Now, of course, the question is what to weld the most. Are they really often thick parts that require a lot of heat, where even a 200 A device may reach its limits?
Here are a few tips on what you can do so that it may still be possible to weld with the small device. The first option is to heat the whole thing, for example with a flame, using a hotplate to heat the material as hot as you can.
Depending on what kind of part it is and whether you have the possibility of touching it where you are welding. This makes it thinner at this point, so to speak, and may then be much easier to weld.
These are alternatives that you need from time to time. The question is of course how often you have such thick things. Three, four mm sheets, even 5mm, 6mm are easily enough for a 200 A welding machine.
I have to say, with my 300 A welding machine I really very rarely reach my limits. I have to say, we usually have thinner things. If you really want to weld thicker things, you might have to buy a second device.
