Mag welding with thin 0.6 wire
Greetings welding fans
Mag welding with thin 0.6 wire
I think it’s a very interesting topic. Actually, it is usual to weld with 0.8-1 mm wire. However, anyone who does bodywork and welds thin sheet metal will know differently. We’ve now discovered it for ourselves too, it’s simply mega.

What advantages do you have when you weld with 0.6 mm wire? In my opinion, you can make a very small weld seam, less distortion in the sheet metal or very small staples and thus less material that is applied.
Important protects you simply and cheaply from welding fumes
And what I also really like is that you save an enormous amount of time. You can weld small holes much faster or weld in sheet metal in the body area. another huge advantage is the saving of material (wire) and you have less to seal at the end.

That’s why I have now a second welding machine equipped with thin wire. Constantly changing the wire wouldn’t be cool either, of course, and would waste time again. As we often need both, we use the whole thing with a really cool and affordable welding machine from Weldinger
We have also made a video about it here if you want to see the whole thing again in video form
