Motorcycle tank conversion
Hey greetings,
Motorcycle tank conversion
Are you looking for someone who can show you or convert your motorcycle tank the way you want it?
In the last few years we have already made a number of custom-made products for special motorcycle or moped superstructures. For example, we have installed motorcycle fuel caps on moped tanks, i.e. the basic design has to be modified and welded in.
Or now we have a speedometer embedded in a motorcycle tank from a road motorcycle. Of course, these are very special things that you don’t just do on the side or in a short space of time.
But it’s precisely these things that we enjoy so much because they are very special, simply not off the peg. That’s whyWe always look forward to such projects.
Here we also have a variant in video form. Take a look at them. There you can see what we can do and what is actually possible.
Because I don’t shape much I also use the argon for forming and therefore have a double branch with a hose attached. I then place this in the tank and fill it with argon, which displaces the dangerous gases. So now you can basically just start welding, and of course give the whole thing some time so that the tank can fill up properly with argon.
When welding, make sure that you always clean the material properly when dirt comes out of it. When you have finished welding, let the whole thing cool down. Then go back to the point, pull the trigger and check whether the point is now tight.
Here is a little tip. To seal the tank or the openings, I recommend using rubber plugs to ensure that the tank is properly pressurized. You can then be sure that the tank is leak-proof!
And for those who don’t like reading, we have of course summarized the whole thing in a video. Just watch the video to see exactly how I do it.
Important protect yourself NOW simply & cheaply from welding fumes!
