Welding with argon
Greetings welding fans ,
Welding with argon
Welding with argon is the topic today and I’ll tell you what you can weld with argon.
First of all, for TIG welding you need argon as shielding gas if you want to weld aluminum, stainless steel or brass, for example.

Basically, an Argon 4.6 is completely sufficient. Of course there are also others where the purity content is higher. You don’t necessarily need it for standard welding, as it is also a lot more expensive.

In the MiG process, argon gas is required in exactly the same way, i.e. if you want to weld aluminum or stainless steel, for example.
A major advantage of argon is that it can also be used for forming. This means that if you are welding stainless steel, for example, and want to have a very flat root, e.g. exhaust systems, it is important because with a double branch you can use the argon once for welding and at the same time for forming.
The advantage here is that you save an additional gas cylinder. Of course, this only makes sense if you don’t form daily.
Important protect yourself NOW simply & cheaply from welding fumes!
