Welding Electrode sticks
Hey sweat fans, greetings,
Welding Electrode sticks
You have found me here because you have the problem that your electrode sticks or ignites badly during electrode welding?
There are basically two reasons for this. One reason is that the electrode has become damp or wet. This is exactly what makes it difficult to weld or to ignite during welding.
So what should you do? Definitely store the electrodes in a dry place, preferably in foil and preferably in a dry room.
However, it may also be that the electrodes you are using are simply far too old. In this case, the electrode may have drawn moisture.
So it’s better to buy only as much as you need and leave it as little as possible for a longer period of time.
Yes, and the last simplest point is that you have simply set too low an amperage on your welding machine. Then the electrode also ignites poorly.
So always make sure that you set a little more amperage on your welding machine.
Yes, and then of course there’s one more thing, that you check plus and minus that the dimensions or the burner is connected correctly.
Here you have to pay attention, there are electrodes that are either welded to minus or to plus, but this is always stated on the packaging.
Then I hope I have been able to help you and would be delighted if you would share our article with your welding friends.
