What is the most important thing at the beginning if you want to learn aluminum welding? Of course a welding machine with which you can weld aluminum.

 

 

 

The best place to start is by getting to grips with the welding machine. To find the best setting, take a few practice sheets and get started. Here you need to develop a feel for how many amps I need and what exactly the weld pool looks like.

 

 

 

 

The best way to work with a gas lens is to have perfect gas coverage and the needle does not burn as much.

 

 

That would be the next tip the gas after flow time must be higher so that the needle does not burn.

 

 

For the tungsten electrode, I recommend using a green one. Don’t sand them either, just leave them straight as they are out of the box and make sure that you adjust the balance so that the ball stays nice and small.

 

 

The needle can protrude approx. 1/2-1 cm from the ceramic nozzle.

 

If you want to get a nice scale at the beginning, I have a tip: use a 3.2 mm wire. That also worked better for me at the beginning.
