MIG welding
Greetings from Schweißfan,
MIG welding
I think it’s a very cool topic, namely welding aluminum or stainless steel, for example, with a MAG welding machine.
Basically, you can imagine it just like MAG welding, except that you basically have aluminum wire in the welding machine.
A few small things are still important to note, namely the feed rollers gas nozzles and the core in the torch should be a Teflon core, because these are exactly the parts that are important for aluminum welding, unfortunately it does not work so well with the standard things and certainly not in the long run.
Yes, what else do you need? Of course you need a different gas, namely argon, 4.6 is sufficient, just as it is for TIG welding.

Then it takes some practice, because the torch position is a bit different to mag welding, but it’s not a big deal, you’ll soon get the hang of it.
But that’s exactly what we’ve made a video for, with a few little tips and tricks, and you can watch it on our YouTube channel, or we’ll throw the link in for you below. There we show you a bit about what is important and what you need to watch out for.
