Today it’s about a topic that I know is on a lot of people’s minds, because unfortunately it didn’t work out for many of them. Or that it is difficult to weld.

 

 

Let’s start like this, DIY store aluminum welding is not a problem in principle. Unless you want to have a special profile, then unfortunately you won’t get it as an aluminum plank, but always anodized.

 

 

This is quite easy to explain, it is because the trade or DIY market does not assume that so many people now have a welding machine at home and weld parts themselves.

 

 

The surface of the profile is therefore anodized.

 

Important protect yourself NOW simply & cheaply from welding fumes!

 

So that when the material is screwed or compacted, the surface remains beautiful and stylish.

 

 

That’s why I would first and foremost recommend that you go to another material supplier, such as a wholesaler. Even easier, just look on eBay. They have great material from large companies that sell it by the meter. In any case, you have the advantage that the material can then be welded and you don’t have to remove any annoying coating.

If you do have this material now and absolutely need it, I’ll give you the following tip. Try to remove the coating from the area to be welded as best as possible. I recommend a cleaning multi-disc for this.

 

 

 

 

Because this does not thin the material, but really only makes the surface bright. Another very important note is that you also need a

 

blank spot for your mass. Either you grind something free where you could hang it or you make the place where you weld a little more free and put a piece of copper there, for example, which brings the measure contact.
