Properties and application examples

UTP 485 is an aluminum rod electrode with 5% Si and special coating. It is suitable for joint and build-up welding on AlSi alloys with a silicon content of up to 7% and mixed joints of various aluminum alloys, such as: 3.3206 AlMgSi0.5 – 3.2371 G-AlSi7Mg

UTP 485 can be easily welded to sheet metal from 2 mm wall thickness. The soft arc produces a flat, finely scaled weld seam.
