Electrodes for hard surfacing or build-up welding Welding of tough, abrasion-resistant surfacing on machine parts made of structural steel, cast steel or manganese hard steel, e.g. rollers, running surfaces, caterpillar tracks, running wheels, roller tables, excavator parts, screw conveyors, roll crushers, impact hammers, rolling mill guides, cams, clamping jaws, impact jaws, mixer arms, anvils.

• good weldability
• Soft annealing 780-820C
• Hardening 1000-1050°C oil or compressed air
• No re-drying required but possible up to 300°C

Special notes:

Untreated weld metal from MT-600 B can only be machined by grinding. Welding through the slag is possible for multi-layer welds. Preheat higher carburized or crack-sensitive base materials to +200°C to +300°C. For very crack-sensitive base materials, weld an intermediate layer (buffer layer), e.g. MT- 307 HL. Weld metal can be forged and hardened.
