UTP 8 is suitable for cold welding gray cast iron, malleable cast iron and cast steel as well as for joining these base materials with steel, copper and copper alloys, especially in repair and maintenance. UTP 8 is characterized by excellent welding properties. Their easily controllable flow enables spatter-free welding in all positions with a minimum current setting. The weld metal and transition zones can be filed. No penetration notches, ideally suited for combined welding with ferronickel type UTP 86 FN (alloying with UTP 8, filling with UTP 86 FN).
