Welding protection blanket Weldtopp 1 x 1m

slip-resistant – flexible – up to 500°C

The Weldtopp heat protection fabric has been specially developed for the welding and metalworking sector and is resistant to sparks, weld spatter, molten metal and all types of heat shock up to 500°C. In location-dependent tests, the material demonstrated up to ten times the abrasion resistance of silicate material with approximately the same density (or weight). Rough treatment does not damage the effectiveness of the tissue. At the same time, the fabric is soft and flexible (but not supple) and therefore easy to handle.

The protection against flame penetration, which this mat offers for around 35 seconds against oxygen-enriched flames with temperatures of up to 500°C, is a particular advantage during burning work.

The resistance to liquid metal should also be mentioned: even large drops of liquid iron (up to 35g) can remain on the fabric surface and cool down without penetrating the fabric, as tests have confirmed.

Low smoke emission: With all this protection, there is no risk of this mat producing harmful smoke, making it suitable for use in buildings and enclosed spaces.
